ReportEx

Welcome to the ReportEx documentation. ReportEx is a smart reporting and monitoring solution that gives administrators clear, actionable visibility into their Exchange environment, whether on-premises or Exchange Online (Microsoft 365). It connects to your Exchange Server and Exchange Online instances from a single, intuitive interface, so you can track activity and generate a wide range of reports without switching between consoles or writing scripts. Reports are organized into categories that mirror the functional areas of Exchange Mailboxes, Groups, Mail Flow, Permissions, Security, Auditing, Compliance, and Mail Traffic, making it easy to find the report you need.

This documentation is designed to guide you through every stage of your ReportEx journey, from initial planning and installation to day-to-day reporting and advanced usage. Whether you're evaluating ReportEx for the first time, deploying it across a new environment, or looking to get more out of an existing installation, you'll find the resources you need here.

The documentation is organized into the following sections:

  • Getting Started - Learn the fundamentals of ReportEx, including how it works, its core components, and the report categories available to you, so you can build a solid foundation before you begin deployment.
  • Before You Install - Review the system requirements, environment prerequisites, and permissions you should address before beginning your ReportEx installation to ensure a smooth and successful deployment.
  • Installing and Setting Up - Follow step-by-step guides to install ReportEx, connect it to your Exchange Server and Exchange Online environments, complete your first login, and generate your first report.
