Setting Permissions

To set permissions:

  1. Log on to HC panel.
  2. From the left menu click General, and then Domains.
    My Websites page is displayed.
  3. Under column Website Name, click name of website, and then Properties.
    The Properties page is displayed.
  4. Click to set permissions for the selected website.
    The Permissions page is displayed.
  5. For Allow Anonymous select Yes to allow access to every one (without any prompt for a user name or password).
By default anonymous access is ON.
  6. For Integrated Windows Authentication select Yes to enable windows authentication.
ASP.Net uses Integrated Windows Authentication while accessing different resources in the website. In case of Yes, it does not prompt for the login credentials when a user accesses a website. The browser supplies the current Windows user information from the client computer.
  7. Select Directory Browsing to allow browsers to view the directory structure.
  8. Select the Enable Logging check box.
Enable Logging keeps a track of unique visit reports, referral reports, error reports, and a variety of other useful information. All the logs are generated in '\log' folder of the website.
It is recommended to enable logging, in case if any unusual problem occurs with the website.
  9. Click Save Settings.
    The specified permissions are set.
