Active Directory users can enroll themselves for self-service using SMS verification. If an SMS gateway is configured in ADSSP under SMS Delivery Settings, a 6-digit code is sent to you via SMS on your mobile number. This code can then be entered into the ADSS portal to identify yourself. Once verified, you will be enrolled.
The following are the steps the AD user should follow when enrolling with SMS verification:
- Open the client interface.

- Log in to the ADSS Client with your AD credentials. The credentials include your UPN and password. Alternatively, you may also authenticate through Azure. To sign in with Azure credentials, your user must exist in Azure Active Directory.

- On the next screen, send a 6-digit code via SMS to the mobile number set in your AD profile. Once you receive the code, enter it into the Verification Code box. You will need to follow the same procedure for all future self-service actions, including password resets and account unlocks.

The 6-digit one-time password (OTP) is valid for 3 minutes, after which it expires.
If there is no mobile number present in your AD profile, you may enter it here, and the 6-digit one-time password (OTP) will be sent to this mobile number.
If the mobile number does not conform to the regular expression (RegEx) pattern defined by the administrator, ADSSP will display an invalid format message.
- Your user will be enrolled for self-service.

- Re-login to the account.

- Now you can update your user profile, change your password, or update your profile picture.
