ExSign

How ExSign Works?

When a user sends an email, ExSign processes the message before it leaves the Exchange Server.

The simplified workflow is as follows:

  1. A user sends an email from Microsoft Outlook, Outlook on the web (OWA), or another supported email client.
  2. Microsoft Exchange routes the email through the Exchange Transport Pipeline.
  3. The ExSign Transport Agent intercepts the email during transport.
  4. The Transport Agent contacts the ExSign Portal to retrieve the latest published signature rules and templates.
  5. ExSign evaluates the email against the configured business rules.
  6. If a matching rule is found, ExSign applies the appropriate signature, disclaimer, banner, or marketing content.
  7. The processed email is returned to the Exchange Transport Pipeline.
  8. Microsoft Exchange delivers the email to the recipient.

This entire process occurs automatically and requires no user interaction.
